Vs. - rules, parameters, grading, etc..

Uncle Coach Eric eats cheese pizza, while I (Mike) prefer the pepperoni pizza; so, we'll almost always be ordering a large pizza with cheese + 1/2 w/pepperoni.  We will try to have a guest judge as much as possible, using friends, family and hopefully some folks who wish to plug a local (small) business.

 

We will include as many notes & info as we can, such as day & time of the showdown, the prices and any other worthwhile details. Pics & video commentary shall accompany the Vs. event, look for Facebook & YouTube pages/links to assist in our efforts. 

 

Once a Vs. event is completed the results will be added to the Standings Page for long-term record keeping, as we wish to see how all these pizzerias stack up against each other, over time.

Comments:  We all pretty much agreed on the same things, Carbone's wasn't terrible, but the crust, the pepperoni, the cheese, and the sauce from Lovejoy just seemed to hit better. While I was eating both slices simultaneously, I found myself wanting to stay w/the Lovejoy slice and didn't care if I finished the Carbone's one.  Now to be fair, I believe this is Carbone's secondary location, while this is Lovejoy's original spot.  I suppose that I could be a little bit biased, as well as my wife could be too; we order from Lovejoy more than any other pizzeria.  We did get BBQ wings of the pit from Carbone's b/c I believe they have superior wings.  We'll be doing a rematch at some point, where we will use the other locations for each spot. I've added some pics that include labels with a "C" or an "L" to show which one was from which place. Overall, you can't go wrong with either and they both were pretty busy for a Football Sunday.
